What a wonderful way to wrap up this year’s Soles of Joy shoe drive! Thanks to the generosity of our members and supporters, 86 pairs of new athletic shoes were collected and are being prepared for distribution to local children as they get ready to head back to school.

A very special thank-you to Marj Berkheimer for her hard work, dedication, and continued involvement with Soles of Joy throughout the years. Her commitment has helped keep this important tradition of service going and has made a difference in the lives of so many local children.

We also extend a heartfelt thank-you to Andrea Salvador for stepping up to help Marj coordinate this year’s collection, and to every Rotarian who purchased, donated, and helped collect shoes.

Every pair represents a child who will walk into the new school year with greater confidence and a reminder that their community cares about them. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s drive a success and for continuing to Create Lasting Impact in the lives of young people throughout Frederick County!
