In 2014, we were able to help dozens of area residents get medically necessary dental procedures done through a partnership with Donated Dental Services. We also supported Monocacy Health Partners, Frederick Regional Health System and the University of Maryland in their efforts to bring an acute and preventive dental clinic for adults in need to Frederick. In 2016, Monocacy Health Partners Dental Clinic opened its doors. During its first year of operation, tenured dental students supervised by local volunteer dentists provided acute care for Frederick residents over the age of 18 on a sliding fee scale. In 2017, the clinic began providing cleanings and dentures, and hired a full-time general dentist to provide consistent, comprehensive preventive care to even more qualifying residents. In 2019, the Rotary Club of Frederick presented Monocacy Health Partners Dental Clinic with the third installment of $20,000 toward their $80,000 pledge.
