The generous Rotary grant to Crossed Bridges Purple Certification will be used to recognize, remember and rebuild those who are in recovery or addiction and their families. Frederick County is recognizing, remembering and honoring those who have passed and been affected and their families. We do this two ways: First, through rallying all of Frederick County for the month of September to wear purple and decorate their homes and offices purple. Through sacred memorials, large banners around Frederick and thousands of t-shirts in our schools and communities, we honor the lives of those lost and those still struggling. Secondly, we provide best of class training for businesses and organizations to know how to stand with their friends, co-workers and family in recovery or addiction. Finally, we are helping to rebuild through the Bridge, and online portal that connects business, churches and organizations with real time needs among those who struggle and their families.
