Aavanee

Aavanee serves as a voice for women and families through its educational and employment support programs.

Our mission is to working today to bring a change tomorrow. Aavanee serves as a voice for women and families through its educational and employment support programs. Education starts early through our STEM programs encouraging girl child to take up STEM as a career. Our Women’s project idea inception began at Frederick County Commission for Women in 2019 and is focused on Female Head of Households including Displaced Home Makers, Women trying to enter workforce after a break, ALICE families besides immigrant and underserved communities.

We conduct online workforce training courses such as Basic IT Administration, Advanced Cybersecurity and HR Training courses through your collaborating partner, Minnodi LLC and our Mindfulness program. Women completing the course will be awarded certification and guidance with job opportunities and follow up for an year. The measure of success of this program is to see an improvement in the financial situation of the Female Head of Households.

Our major source of income for this project is through in-kind donations from fundraisers, a recent grant from Women’s Giving Circle and we look forward to upcoming support from Rotary club and Unity Campaign.

These funds would be mainly used for training cost of atleast 4 sets (8-week training courses) to women from Frederick County.  We are hoping to provide an additional mindfulness program support, training packet, continued loaner laptop support and help with resources for childcare and employment. We hope to bring a slow improvement in the lives of the women struggling with financial burden especially during the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.
