Our Service Partnership Grant Cycle Launches September 15!

The essence of our Service Partnership Grant program is to support local non-profit organizations that are transforming lives in our community through their remarkable work. Recently, a representative from Advocates for Homeless Families– one of our 2024-25 grant recipients–visited our club to share with us how are grant helped one of the families they are working with begin to break out of homelessness.

After arriving in Frederick from Angola to escape violence and build a better life, the Antonio family entered Advocates’ transitional housing program. Together, the family learned English, and the adults gained work authorization. The father recently earned both his regular and commercial driver’s license. He is now fully and gainfully employed.

With support from Second Chances Garage Inc., another recipient of one of our SPG grants last year, the family secured their first car– another step toward independence and self-sufficiency.

This story illustrates how our community partners work together and how Rotary creates a ripple effect of opportunity and hope!

Please help to spread the good word among the local non-profit organizations you are connected with that money is available soon for qualifying, local non-profits through our Service Partnership Grant Program.
