What a thrill it was for our club to watch the Hood College men’s basketball team emerge victorious against reigning Division III powerhouse Randolph-Macon in the Rotary Club of Frederick Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon, November 9th, with a score of 81-72!

As guests of President Emeritus, club member and Tournament Co-Chair Dr. Ron Volpe (second from right), about 50 Rotarians enjoyed watching the hard-fought game from the President’s box. Thanks also to Co-Chair Philip Berkheimer for untold hours of work behind-the-scenes, to the many club members who volunteered, and to all who bought tickets or purchased advertising in the souvenir program— your contributions were integral to the success of this event.

Proceeds benefit Hood Athletics and The Rotary Club of Frederick’s service projects.
