Weekly Meeting: 12-1:30 PM

The Rotary Club of Frederick meets every Wednesday from 12:00-1:30 PM at Dutch’s Daughter Restaurant for fun, fellowship, project planning, club business and a brief program of general interest. Meeting fee with lunch is $20. With just a drink and cookie, the meeting fee is $7.

Topic: The last meeting of the Rotary Year belongs to the outgoing club president, who typically uses the time to deliver a President’s Report which often includes a summary of activities from their year, fundraising efforts and achievements of their year in office, and sometimes includes a slide show or other visual component.

The Presidents also thanks members who have made significant contributions to the club, and has the opportunity to recognize up to 3 (varies) individuals with a Paul Harris award for their efforts.

The outgoing president formally transfer their responsibilities to the incoming president by symbolically “passing the gavel” to them.

The incoming president usually takes a moment to thank the outgoing president for their service on behalf of the club. Typically, the incoming president waits until the following week’s meeting to talk about their plans for the new RY.
