Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County and our club rolled up their sleeves to complete critical home repairs for a woman who has built a life in her Frederick home.

Throughout the day, volunteers removed a split-rail fence and installed a new four-foot privacy fence, cleaned gutters, installed a new storm door, and added handrails to make entering and leaving Ula’s home safer.

Yard work is not typically included in the scope of Habitat’s Home Repair Program. However, with our club’s generous support and volunteers on-site, the team was able to complete additional work around Ula’s property as well.

A special thank-you to Rotarians Mark Lancaster and James Goss for organizing this meaningful service project, and to Lisa Coblentz for working closely with the Habitat team to help bring the project to life.

We also want to thank all of the Rotarians who volunteered their time and energy. It was especially wonderful to see new members getting involved, connecting with fellow Rotarians, and helping create a lasting impact in our community.

Together, we showed the difference a strong community partnership can make.
