If you’re like most people, you’ve heard about Rotary, but you’re not exactly sure what it is.
Don’t worry…you’re not alone. At one time or another, most of us weren’t exactly sure what Rotary was either! But today, after participating in local and worldwide projects that feed the hungry, provide clean water, increase access to healthcare, support education, extend the reach of local non-profits, and more, every one of us can tell you exactly what the Rotary Club of Frederick is, loud and clear:
With 100 years of momentum, a solid fundraising record, and significant financial resources behind us, we are reaching out across our community and around the globe to help make this world we share a better place.

We joined forces this year with the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek to create the “Rotary Magic” yellow submarine as our entry into Color on the Creek’s 2024-25 “Sailing Through the Winter Solstice” (STTWS) flotilla! STTWS is a fundraiser for the builders’ charities of choice.
We’ve chosen Splash PoinT at Baker Park—Frederick County’s inaugural free public splash pad—as the beneficiary of the donations made in support of the Yellow Submarine. The Splash PointT at Baker Park will be a tribute led by the Turner family in memory of their beloved 22-month-old son, Simon. Splash PoinT will be fully ADA accessible, ensuring that everyone can enjoy this exciting community amenity.
