On Saturday, September 21, Vaughn Meglan, Miriam Meglan, Geordie Wilson and Michael Planz joined the City of Frederick’s Sustainability Coordinator, Lauren Paulet, to clean up litter and debris from Taskers Chance Park and Rock Creek Stream.

Among the many causes supported by Rotary International are 1. Protecting the environment and 2. Encouraging clean water are This project checked off those boxes. This small but intrepid group picked up 7 large bags of trash, 4 bicycles and 3 shopping carts. Projects such as these help protect the Potomac River watershed and eventually the Chesapeake Bay.
