Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership

The mission of Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership is to foster the growth of strong, resilient, hopeful children who are impacted by an incarcerated loved one in the Frederick region. COIPP does many activities with children, the parents in jail, and the caregivers. They have recently added parenting classes for men and expanded their activities for children.

COIPP is always giving out resources that help the children and believes strongly that award-winning and highly rated children’s books can be a great vehicle for assisting those in this situation. Their purchases focus on books about jail, feelings, self-esteem and love. Thanks to a partnership with Curious Iguana Bookstore in Downtown Frederick, COIPP is able to buy the books in bulk and at a great purchase price. COIPP plans to use the Rotary Club of Frederick’s Service Partnership Grant to replenish their current book titles and add new ones.
